Guys on Grindr

Alright, I've been checking out Grindr lately and I want to give a small rundown of the potential that's in my city. I'm pretty much looking for masculine, active guys who are cool to hang around. And every once in a while, a hook up. Pretty general description, but it's a case-by-case type deal. Why be so specific? Plus, the guys have been pretty revealing on their own, so I've been able to weed out the crazies.. sort of. These are in no particular order. This is more for me to type out my thoughts -- should be fun.

A -- Raised in small town town. Has a bit of country in his voice, and I love it. Has unconventional work, but is the most down to earth. He was fine with me not giving out a face pic right off the bat and actually gave his out to make me feel comfortable. He's 31, but doesn't look it at all. Met up with him one night and talked for a good amount of time about everything. Eventually, we messed around a bit. Definitely a fun evening. We talked a bit about meeting up again, but he's really busy with work and we both have roommates, so it makes it difficult. I'm starting to have mixed feelings about him seeing has how we haven't talked as much as I'd like. I don't want to pressure anything, but I also want to hang out with him.

J -- Also raised in a smaller town than A. Is 26 and is a elementary teacher. We've texted for about a week before we met up. Really easy to talk to as well. He also has a roommate. So when we met up, I drove to his house, snuck in his room and we started a movie.. didn't end up finishing the movie due to a bed and two horny guys being in it, but I've seen it before. Another fun evening. We met up for a second time and we just watched a movie and cuddled. It was really nice to finally have a feeling like that where I can just lay back, watch a movie with a guy and feel completely fine. Great head on his shoulders, down to earth and is active. He's a big lake guy. He grew up on it. Problem is he's a little feminine. Haven't been able to see mannerisms yet, but I can just tell. I'm sure there will be more on him later.

There are other guys, but I haven't talked to them much, nor have I seen their faces. I'm reserved about giving out face pics due to me not being out and the gay community in this city all seem to know each other. Some of them just want to hook up and I admit, I'm down for the occasional hook up. As I continue blogging, you'll get to hear about those guys.

You guys can email me at underwraps87@gmail.com. I check it pretty regularly, so feel free to ask questions.

Reason #142 I Frequent Starbucks

Alright, not really reason #142, but after this, I might stop by a little more often.

On my way home, stopped by Starbucks for a little pick me up. As I pull in, I notice this fine specimen studying. As I'm walking to the door, he glances up. I'm trying to be calm and collected, trying not to make too much eye contact. I walk in and am immediately caught in a daze. I'm sure it lasted a fraction of what I thought it did, but nonetheless, it was a good moment. He had several books out, what looked to be college material. He was what looked to be 5'10"-ish, 170, and had on the t-shirt of my favorite NBA team. I ordered my drink and couldn't help but to keep glancing back, hoping he was glancing at me. No luck. Get my drink, walk back towards the door. I make one final glance, he looks up and I give him the bro nod. You know the one: either a one nod up or one nod down. He does the same and I head out the door. I get back to my car to snap this pic for you guys. Although you can't really tell, he's a stud. Note how the shade is conveniently left up in front of the stud.

Damn I wish I would have said more.

Oh Man, Where to Start

Hello to all who finds this. This blog is mostly for me to get out all my thoughts I haven't been able to say out loud, as well as to provide some type of entertainment for those who are reading. I give a big thanks to the blogs I follow. They've all provided a source of inspiration, leading me to start my own. I have read all of them in their entirety, except for Dan in OKC. He's been blogging since '06 and I have a lot to catch up on.

A little about me: I'm 24 and have been living the closet life for as long as I could remember. I've known I was attracted to guys since I was about 9 or so, but really didn't act on it until I was in college. You'll get to hear about those acts in later posts for sure, either negative or positive, they've had some type of influence on my life. I've had girlfriends in the past, but could never commit just because I knew I would never be able to give myself to them fully. I recently graduated from college in May and now back in my hometown. I'm balancing between being the successful son/grandson, straight guy at work and to all friends, a man of faith, and a closet gay to the guys I meet online/in person. I've been living this "straight life" for so long.. in fact, it's all I know. I wish sexual orientation wasn't as big as a deal as it is, but it's the world we live in.

For discreet purposes, all names have been changed and I won't list out specific titles to things. So please no questions about where I live, where I work, etc. I think that's about it for now, hopefully I'll figure out an email or messenger for you guys to contact me. Later guys.
